Since being an avid meditator for some time now, I have come to learn some powerful truths when it comes to meditation and how meditation and the law of attraction works together in perfect harmony. It’s actually pretty amazing how it works and I’ve been so very excited to share this with you as one of the tools to achieve success in all the desired areas of your life.

So let’s begin……

Releasing Resistance

In order for what we desire to flow naturally to us – we have to release any resistance (i.e…..limiting beliefs/thoughts) that may be blocking what we desire. We have been conditioned with limiting beliefs from as far back as our child hood. I am sure you are thinking – how can I release all those blocks when they are so buried in my subconscious? There are many ways out there that can help soften that resistance and in time, eliminate it. Affirmations, subliminal messages, EFT (tapping) and more. But one simple and powerful way to naturally release resistance is through meditation.

If you have never meditated before, its really simple and easy. If you already know how to meditate, then this is golden because you have a powerful tool that can release resistance.

I love the analogy that Esther Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham) offers……when you meditate, your cork floats. There is no more resistance holding it down. It naturally floats to the top. Isn’t that awesome?

If you’ve been around a bit and have heard about The Law of Attraction, I am sure you have heard of Rhonda Byrne and her book, “The Secret and the movie, “The Secret (which I highly suggest reading the book and watching the movie. Both are very life changing and eye-opening!). You most likely also have heard of the Law of Attraction Experts out there, Bob Proctor, Lisa Nichols, James Arthur Ray, Esther & Jerry Hicks* (The Teachings of Abraham). They are all great teachers and I have learned a lot from them (and still do as I continue to read their books and listen to their videos to increase my awareness and understanding).

So what is all the buzz about The Law of Attraction? Well the best place to start is to look at its definition. In short, The Law of Attraction says, “That which is like unto itself, is drawn” Sounds simple? Well there is a little bit more to it than that.

This Universe is governed by many universal laws (Law of Gravity, Law of Sowing and Reaping, etc) and The Law of Attraction is no exception to these Laws.

Our thoughts and emotions are like transmitters and through the Law of Attraction what we “think and feel about”, we bring about. “Like thoughts” will bring about “Like Events”. One analogy that I heard and resonate with is that we are like radio transmitters. If we want to listen to 106 FM – we have to “tune” our frequency to that station. In the same way, if we want or desire something in our life, we have to tune ourselves to that frequency.

Love & Appreciation are the highest frequencies of all – so if you live in love, gratitude and appreciation – you are setting your dial in the right frequency to receive. (or as Esther & Jerry Hicks* so cleverly refers to it as, “The Art of Allowing”)

Now I have only scratched the surface, but wanted to provide a general understanding of this Law.

The Vortex

I am sure you are wondering, “What in the world is this vortex?“. Well the true definition is “a mass of swirling air or water”. I even imagine a vortex like a black hole, swirling around and sucking everything into it. In an amazing bookThe Vortex, Esther & Jerry Hicks* (through the teaching of Abraham) refer to this vortex as a “vibrational holding place of all our dreams and desires“. Any desire or intention are sent (Esther so affectionately calls is “rockets of desires”) to this vibrational holding place.

This is in essence the very thing that Esther & Jerry Hicks* teach through their book, “Ask & It Is Given” (which is based on the ancient scriptures, Matthew 7:7….” Ask and ye shall receive”). Anything you ask for, desire or put an intent out there to the Universe is answered by Source and placed in this vibrational holding place.

Once we align with our desires (by releasing resistance and tuning our frequency to the right “station”), what we desire will flow naturally to us through the natural law of attraction.

Working In Perfect Harmony

So how does Meditation, Releasing Resistance, The Law of Attraction and The Vortex are come together? Before breaking it down and bring all of these important factors together, here are two key important points.

  • The Law of Attraction is working 24/7 – so that is always in effect.
  • All of your “rockets of desires” are immediately answered by Source and placed in this Vortex (the vibrational holding place of all of your dreams and desires).

Now Source through the Law of Attraction waits for you to tune yourself to the correct frequency so “right place and right timing” (cooperative components) join forces so that all of your dreams and desires can flow naturally to you.

So how do you tune yourself to the right frequency? There are many ways, but one simple way to release resistance and tune your frequency happens naturally through meditation. For those 15-20 mins, where resistance is released – your cork floats and things start to naturally flow to you.

As you continue to meditate each day, you will notice powerful momentum will ensue. It’s actually pretty amazing, that something as simple as meditation can tune your frequency to the right vibration to be in the state of allowing all that you have dreamed or desired.

So are you ready to release resistance and just “be present” in the moment? There are many different meditation programs out there. But here is one that I use and aligns perfectly with the Laws of the Universe. It’s called, “Getting Into The Vortex: Guided Meditations CD and User Guide” by Esther & Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham).

It comes with four 15 min meditations:

  • Financial Well-Being
  • General Well-Being
  • Physical Well-Being
  • Relationships

Just sit back, close your eyes and breathe as you hear Esther’s voice (through Abraham) speak spiritual words of truth and encouragement. I rotate between them. I was reading one testimonial on Amazon and one lady listens to these as a sleep aid. Never would have thought about that, but I would first recommend going through the meditations first in the morning. And then if you wanted to add it to your nighttime routine, momentum will just ensue that much more quickly.

If you are not into spiritual type meditations, then I would suggest Zen12 Meditation Program. Very generic, one size fits all type of meditations (comes in four flavors: Guided Meditation, White Noise, Nature Sounds, & Relaxing Music). I love both of programs, so I just rotate between the two.

If you want to release any resistance holding you back from attracting all of your dreams and desires, then meditation is the simple answer to do this. Start meditating today – in time, you will know and be glad that you did.

    I love to meditate! It helped me to improve my life on so many levels that my gratitude is beyond words. You have a great post here which connects the practice of meditation with the Law of Attraction.

    I had some deep resistance buried within me since my childhood. Those limited beliefs and were causing me to stay where I was for a long time. However, through deep meditation, I was able to “trace” my memories and go back to the days where I have formed my limited beliefs. I have continued with the practice I have begun to visualize some different sets of beliefs of those which I had buried in my subconscious. Eventually, I managed to “rewrite” my program, and those new beliefs started to manifest themselves in my reality, slowly but surely. The key was to impress those new beliefs over and over and over with the aid of meditation until they become a part of subconscious working memory.

    That was the way how I have tuned in my “radio” to a frequency of a brand new life. Basically, I had to change some feelings in me which were causing a negative vibration every time I have tried to change the tune.

    I believe that The Vortex you are mentioning over here is an excellent and colorful explanation of a human soul or spirit — the unseen part of us which guides us through life based on our desires.

Great post you have up there, nice, inspiring and captivating, I love to meditate just like anyone else and I also reflects back on my past deeds, show gratitude for where I am and think deeply on how to be better.i will try to check the Esther hicks movie and see if I can gain one on two lessons.     I never meditate before I begun to look your site, but afterwards I did.

    It has some reasons, such as less stress now, harmony with myself, and I feel so much relaxing.

    This is another good post of you which I can use to meditate better and come to rest wit myself.

This is an absolutely powerful article.  One of the most powerful I have ever read.  As for the The Secret I have always wanted to read it but just never found the time.  I think I better find the time now.I often wondered how powerful meditation could be because that would be a factor in me giving it a try.  After this article I think I have decided that I would like to add meditation to my life.Would love if you could lead me in the right direction for this?Dale

  6. mediation is one of the ways I use in restoring balance to myself it also helps me to increase my awareness and understand alot that evolves around us, mediation has helped me kicking out the thoughts of impossibility that has been restraining me from moving forward and brought in good vibes. I must this post is awesome.

  7. Thanks for sharing this great information. I’ve gotten some insights to start off but my issue has been consistency. While I find meditation as a good practice not only to reflect on past experience but processing tons of information that the brain receives, I’ve not been able to effectively utilize it. With regards to the lab research that I do, I get access to tons of information but less time to process them into constructive one because of deadlines. 

    Your post has given me a new look to implement something for my growth. Thanks

    • Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. In the beginning, meditating daily can be hard. But in time, you will find that you can’t go a day without it. It will keep you calm, centered and peaceful. For those that have an active mind, I usually recommend Zen12, because it uses brainwave entrainment technology, so you can benefit from 1 hour of meditation in only 12 mins. It’s really amazing.

  8. I believe meditation can help us to redirect our thoughts to the positive ones rather than to the negative frequencies. This is the only thing that will provide us room to embrace the good things in life rather than the bad things and bad thoughts.

    The law of attraction is irresistible whether we like it or not because they come with our emotions and human persons are not molded with only positive emotions but are also negative tendencies. We love and we hate, we know justice and we exercise injustices and many others.

    Attractions are only two sides, the bad and the good and the more we sow good it will result in good, the more we sow bad it will result in bad.

    In our meditations, may our bad experiences be turned into a good one and that is through our own thoughts and how we respond to things around us.

    But the mind is powerful enough to combat what we don’t want to happen because we shun from them and we are not a participant for it to happen. 

    Meditation is one way of combating oneself from negativity and I would buy the idea.
